Contract Manufacturing:   by EMC --  Electronic Manufacturing Company, div. of MDCo
EMC is located within one mile of EDA and is an ideal manufacturing partner for product builds from five to fifty per month. EMC has been an electronics manufacturing services provider to the Medical, Industrial and Commercial  markets since 1990 and has manufactured quality electronic products for Start-up and Fortune 500 Companies/Customers since its inception. Its facilities are located in a 9000 square foot building with both automatic and manual SMT and through-hole soldering machine capabilities. EMC can provide you with complete turn-key manufacture - from PWA build through final packaging, product testing, burn-in and drop shipment.

EMC separated from EDA in 1995 to focus on manufacturing but has maintained similar documentation and number control systems. Thus, products designed by EDA can smoothly integrate with EMC's operations as a product transfers to manufacturing during Development Phase Four. EMC has earned a reputation for Quality, Integrity, Innovation and Customer Service. EMC's goal is to provide you with manufacturing solutions for both new and existing products, and to meet your  needs as they evolve.

Our vision is to provide competitive, high-quality electronic manufacturing services and individualized customer service, while encouraging employee creativity, motivation and teamwork in a continuously improving environment.

FDA Registered Facility

To manufacture medical products, a company must be registered with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and follow the precise guidelines of their "Good Manufacturing Practices".  EMC is an FDA Registered Facility since 1991.  For example, EMC has procedures well-defined and in-place for Materials Procurement and Incoming Inspection [Material Specs], Revision Control [DCR's & DCO's], In-Process Materials Tracking [Travelers], Quality Assurance Inspection Procedures, Customer Complaint Handling and so forth.

We also follow IPC A 610 Standards and are ISO 9001 Compliant.

Employees and Training

In a very real sense, our personnel become part of Your Staff.  Each person is team-oriented and motivated toward high-performance.  Each is keenly aware that his or her individual success, like that of EMC as a whole, is determined by our customer's success and satisfaction.  We are very proud of our employees, their commitment and their spirit.

Each employee is provided a Workbook, which defines the assembly procedures for each particular job, including such processes as Configuration Control, Sub-Assembly Traveler Forms, Quality Verification Procedures, and so forth.  Our continuous in-house training program assures you of peak efficiency, manufacturing excellence and finished-product reliability.

Our 9,000 square foot facility is ideal for handling small to medium-sized production runs.  We are located in the Tri-County Business Park, about 1 mile south of EDA (just West of Race Track Road).
